Manipur reports 31 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday

Manipur reported 31 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. These include 9 suspected locally transmitted cases of the disease, according to sources in the state Health department.

With this update, the tally of COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 2,317. Among them, 702 are active cases.

As per the latest status update on COVID-19 of the state Health department, the 31 fresh cases were detected during testing of 705 samples including 358 with antigen test. With this, the state has so far tested 80,603 samples.

Meanwhile, 56 persons were discharged after they recovered from COVID-19 on Tuesday. With this, the total number of recovered cases has increased to 1,617. The recovery rate also rose to 69.70 percent in the state, the source said.
