The two-day ‘March Against AFSPA’ from Dimapur to Kohima, covering nearly 70 kilometre begin on January 10 morning from Dimapur. Rev Dr Ellen Konyak led in scripture reading and prayer to start the March for the Repeal of the AFSPA at Supermarket, Dimapur. Apart from the starting point, volunteers joined the march along the way in a show of solidarity. After a night halt in Piphema, the march will resume on 6:00 am, January 11, and head towards Kohima, where they would be received by public and other organisations, before proceeding to the Raj Bhavan to submit a memorandum. The march is being organised by like-minded citizens to protest the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), 1958. (Morung Photo)
