Stating this, Reddy sought cooperation from the people and gave assurance to complete all the four projects within the stipulated period of time.
Terming the road project of Pfutsero-Phek as a gift to the people of the area, the Centre Chakhesang People Organization (CCPO) vice president Niehusa said the CCPO is giving its cooperation and support to the contractors for proper execution of the work. “To us there is no different between local or non local contractors but to us whoever is awarded the work we will give the same amount of cooperation,” CCPO vice president said adding that the public will not only give cooperation to this particular project alone but will continue to give cooperation to anyone in the coming days as well for other project as “we want development.”
Z. Lohe, advisor (Political) to Chief Minister, who also hails from Sakraba was appreciative of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for approving Pfutsero-Phek road, saying that the people of the area are grateful to him for fulfilling the long cherished desire of the people. Lohe said that when Pfutsero- Phek road project is completed it will become all weather road and thereby linking state capital Kohima and district headquarters Phek.
Regretting that presently there is no good road linking to Phek district headquarters, Lohe said the desire of the public is to see that this road become a model road. Therefore the public of the area comprising seven villages have organized in the manner of CCPO which is giving the best cooperation to contractors and government towards the said project.
He also stated that until unless there is a congenial atmosphere one cannot expect the proper execution of the work. There may be apprehension that CCPO is bias and partial, he said and pointed out that CCPO is a public organization and fit to give cooperation to whoever comes to work. Lohe appealed to everyone to give cooperation for proper execution and timely completion of the project. He also said that what matter most is the quality work.
Lohe also stated that taking commission from contractors would hamper the smooth execution of the work, saying under such atmosphere the contractors would not be able to execute work properly and “we cannot expect the best from the contractors.” The road project (with particular mention to Pfutsero-Phek road project) when completed, he said will become an asset not only to this locality but the entire state.
Further, Lohe thanked Minister for Health & Family Welfare Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, who is in-charge of Phek district legislators for his unconditional support “to us from beginning till today.”
