Mokokchung, November 22 (MExN): In view of the onset of festive season, Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) has instructed the traders in Mokokchung to adhere to the following set of directives. Traders are prohibited to procure, transport, stock or sell any type of firecrackers, as has been the rule over the years, a press release from MCCI stated.
Traders found engaged in these activities shall be dealt with severely. Further, the respective ward authorities in Mokokchung town are requested to ensure that no residents of their localities are engaged in selling of firecrackers.
Selling of calendars and tickets of any kind including raffle, lottery, concert, buffet, etc and collection of donations of any kind by any individual or groups shall not be entertained in the market, it added. In this regard, it directed all the traders to inform the MCCI leadership in case of any such encounter. It further instructed all the members of MCCI to keep their respective places of business neat and clean. It also requested all the members to decorate their respective establishments on account of the festive season.
