Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): The Muslim Council Dimapur (MCD) has extended Idd-Ul-Fitr greetings to the citizens of Nagaland. It also requested all Masjid Committees in the state to keep the Masjids closed till May 21, as per the order issued by the state government.
In a press release on Wednesday, working president of MCD A Rahman requested all Muslims to pray for the safety of all human beings from the COVID-19 pandemic. The MCD also expressed gratitude to all the Masjid Committees for following the government’s SOPs and keeping the religious places closed, and requested all Muslims to offer their IDD Namaz in their respective homes with adherence to all SOPs.
Idd-Ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the Islamic holy month of prayer and fasting, is also known as Ramadan, and is celebrated on May 14.
