MOKOKCHUNG, OCTOBER 21 (MExN): The much anticipated finale of the 25th Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) Trophy 2017 was postponed today owing to inclement weather. The final match to be played between Zonipang SC and Youth Association Marepkong has now been scheduled to October 23, 2017 at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex. MDFA has expressed regret that the match could not be played as scheduled because of the heavy down pour and foggy weather conditions. Earlier today, the final match programme went ahead with Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, Parliamentary Secretary Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship as the chief guest. Dr. Keditsu said football has become a household name for the Nagas, in particular the Ao community, who have produced an Olympian, Dr. T. Ao. He also saluted the pioneers and leaders of MDFA who have led the Association for 25 years.
