Intermingle club registered a hammering 9-0 win against Alempang YA in the first match of the MDFA Trophy 2018.
Yhunshalo scored five goals while Limakumzuk Ao scored two goals. Sanyem Konyak and Bendangnukshi also scored a goal each. The first five goals came in the 9th, 12th, 20th, 21st and 23rd minute. Along with the rainy weather conditions, goals were also raining in the ground. Four more goals were scored in the second half of the game in the 45th, 48th, 57th and 59th minute as Alempang YA proved too weak for the strong Intermingle team, one of the biggest contendter for this year’s edition of MDFA.
The second match between FC Young Boys and Hills XI FC ended in a draw, 2-2. Both the goals for FC Young Boys were scored by Neiphivilie in the 17th and 50th minute, while the two goals for Hills XI FC were scored by Rongsenchiba and Moaakum in the 52nd and 58th minute respectively.
SSS Yellow scored one of the fastest goals of the tournament after the first minute of kick off against Friends United FC. The goal was scored by Toshiwapang. Toahiwapang scored the second goal through a penalty in the 20th minute. He scored two more goals in the 64th and 69th minute.
