Media organizations offer condolences

Dimapur, July 21 (MExN): Various media organizations have expressed shock and sadness over the demise of Bendangkokla, mother of journalist Asungba Ao of Tir Yimyim on July 21 at Eden Medical Center, Dimapur. She was 68. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Government Middle School, Zeliangrong village, Dhobinalla in Dimapur.  

Tir Yimyim: The Editor and staff of Tir Yimyim stated “her death is great loss for all of us.” In a condolence message, they added, “However, it must be a great consolation for everyone in the family that she could see and felt the caring touch of her children even during her illness. We have also learnt a great lesson from her children in taking care of one’s own mother with the constant touch of their loving hands in time of need.” They further prayed that God grant the family courage and solace to overcome the sorrow.  

NPA: Nagaland Press Association (NPA) in another message stated, “We know that loss of a mother cannot compensate by any word of consolations. However, let us be comforted that God is gracious enough that He has given you all enough time to take care of her during her ailment.” The Association extended sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family. “May the good Lord grant you all courage and solace to overcome this hour of bereavement and may the soul of our beloved mother rest in peace,” it prayed.   

DPC: Dimapur Press Club (DPC) also conveyed condolences and sympathy to Asungba, who is also DPC Treasurer, and his family members. It prayed that God grant eternal peace to the departed soul and solace to the bereaved family members.
