Jalukie, August 26 (MExN): The Old Jalukie Village Health Committee (VHC) under National Health Project (NHP) organized a general medical camp on August 25 at Old Jalukie Sector C under Peren district. Resource persons Dr. Ramheigumbe and Dr. Lungkeuding disseminated awareness to the people on sanitation and hygienic living reminding that ‘cleanliness is next to Godliness.” They also emphasized on spiritual and physical healing, while encouraging to maintain immunization records, drink good quality water etc.
The medical team helped the villagers by providing free medical check up to more than 40 patients. Free medicines were also provided to ASHA workers for the villagers. Chaired by Izi Kenn, VDB secretary, the programme began with invocation prayer by pastor Zieroying. Welcome address was delivered by Gaugong, GB, while benediction was pronounced by Inrangruing, GB, Old Jalukie village.
The programme ended with an interactive session.
