Dimapur, February 13 (MExN): A free medical camp was organized by 7 Assam Rifles under 5 Sector Assam Rifles of IGAR (North) at Thanamier village of Kiphire District from February 4 to 6.
A press note issued by the AR informed that a team comprising of two doctors and para medical staff from the unit conducted the three-day camp in the remote area in close proximity to the international border. A few surrounding villages like Penkin were also covered and 352 patients were examined and free medicines were distributed. The village elders expressed their heart-felt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for this initiative and bringing services to their area despite their inaccessibility and promised their continued support to the security forces.
