Medziphema, December 13 (DIPR): Parliamentary Secretary for Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio on December 12 inaugurated the new Sub Divisional Agricultural Officer’s (SDAO) office in Medziphema.
Rio in his speech said it is a red letter day for Medziphema sub-division as the long felt need for the office is fulfilled. The inaugural of SDAO office, he maintained, is a fruit of development and a good sign of the government’s performance. Medziphema is one of the oldest administrative headquarters solely dependent on agro-based crops with great potential and is also centrally located, Rio added. He encouraged the public as well as officials to improve organic and improved seeds methods for income generation and surplus production.
He expressed gratitude to the government and also the department in particular for the new SDAO, which he said will benefit both rural and urban sectors. The program was chaired by ADC Medziphema Vikweno Chale, NCS, a brief report about the establishment was given by Director Agriculture, Helie Rüpreo, short speech was given by Akhoto Kuotsu, president, Mechü Krotho and vote of thanks was delivered by Atoi Sema, DAO, Dimapur.
