NSSO (FOD) Kohima training The National Sample Survey Office (Field Operations Division), Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Government of India, set up in 1950 to collect socio-economic data employing scientific sampling methods, will start its 74th round of survey from October 1 under the provisions of Collection of Statistics Act 2008 (No.7 of 2009) and Rules framed there under in 2011 from the registered establishments all over the country. In this connection, the Regional Training Camp for the Regional Office of the NSSO (FOD) Kohima will be organising four-day training from September 26-29 at its office conference hall.     2nd State Level Kala Utsav Competitions RMSA, Nagaland will conduct the 2nd State Level Kala Utsav, an arts competition, on September 27, 10:00 am at Government Higher Secondary School, Seikhazou, Kohima. It will be participated by 12 schools from six districts. The schools will compete in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts categories. The best team in each category will represent the state of Nagaland in New Delhi at the National Level Kala Utsav. Sarah N. Ritse, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Department of School Education, will be the chief guest at the event on September 27, informed a press release from Timothy Thong, DMD & Programme Coordinator, Kala Utsav.     State Level Hindi Diwas in Peren The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU), Peren unit is hosting the 23rd State Level Hindi Diwas (Hindi Day) on September 27, 11:00 am at St. Xavier Higher Secondary School auditorium, Jalukie Town. G Kivishe Phuchu, Additional Secretary, School Education will be the chief guest and Toshimenla Imchen, Deputy District Education Officer, Peren will be the guest of honour. On the occasion, essay and debate competition will be conducted at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Jalukie Town at 2:00 pm. The topic for essay is Environment (Prayabran) and topic for debate is Internet-Advantages and Disadvantages. The ANHTU (Central) President, Rometo Sema has requested all District Unit Presidents to send the name of participants (Class up to XII) before September 25. The President further requested all Central office bearers and district unit presidents to reach the venue on September 26 without fail. Therefore, all the “Executive & Secretarial” of JKM have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.     CCBYF 25th session The Centre Chakhesang Baptist Youth Fellowship will be celebrating its 25th session anniversary from October 8 to 9 at Upper Khomi Baptist Church with the theme “Rise and Go” (Jonah 1:2). The main speakers of the programme will include Rev. Dr. Sühluvei Rhakho, Director, Harvest Ministry and Mülüvoyi Nienu, Youth Secretary, CBCC. The session will be marked by competition on theme song and choir (indigenous with Tati). All the bonafide citizens have been invited to the session.
