The college with its teaching experience (formally and informally) in music for over 32 years is now in position to establish a full-fledged School of Music offering a four year professional degree (BA) in Western Classical –Ethno (Ethnic)- Church music. Currently, music is an elective subject course in PCC’s BA programme.

The college has so far raised Rs. 45,00.000 adding “We are now looking to alumni, churches, philanthropists, foundations, NGOs, government bodies, and well wishers to help us raise the remaining amount.”

For the sake of providing profitable jobs to youths while at the same time meeting the musical needs of the people of North East India and beyond, Shishak requested the concerned to consider extending financial assistance towards the construction of a building for the music school.

Anyone donating Rs. 15,000 or above will have his/her name permanently displayed in the School of Music building, he said.
“I am making this appeal for public participation on behalf of the College Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and students as well as the sponsoring bodies- the Nagaland Baptist Church Council and Manipur Baptist Convention” Shishak said.
