Acting on a tip-off, the West Garo Hills (WGH) police arrested one person and recovered about 4.5 gm of suspected heroin among other things from the person on October 14.
In an anti-narcotics raid by the police in the Deram Gittim area around Tura town, one Denis M Sangma, a resident of Chitoktak, was arrested with 4.5 gm of the suspected drug, one insulin syringe, 10 golden box tins that were to store the drug were recovered, police said.
The West Garo Hills police informed that an investigation into the incident is currently on.
