Newmai News Network Shillong | April 11 The investigation into the murder case at New Delhi involving a girl from Ri – Bhoi district of Meghalaya is seeing the active coordination between state police and their counterparts in the national capital. This was informed by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday while replying to the zero hour notice moved by Congress MLA Mayralborn Syiem in the Assembly on Wednesday. Conrad said that a case has been registered at Vasant Vihar Police Station, New Delhi and investigation has been taken up the police and that this is in progress. “The Ri Bhoi police is in contact with the Delhi police for getting updates on the status of the case and has offered full cooperation on the same,” he said. 22-year-old Wandalin Kongor, a resident of Purdua Kharpati, Ri Bhoi district, who was working in a call centre at New Delhi, was found dead in her residence at Munirka, New Delhi on March 28. She was staying in a rented house. Conrad said that one police officer from District Executive Force (DEF) was deputed to accompany the relatives of the deceased to New Delhi on March 29. “However, due to the highly decomposed state of dead body, the last rites were performed at Delhi by the relatives of the deceased,” he said.
