Mokokchung, June 9 (DIPR): Mid- day meal scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme (CSS) launched by the Government of India on August 15, 1995. Under this scheme the students of Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School (MGHSS) Mokokchung consist of class 7 and 8 with an enrolment of 110 students are benefitted in this academic session. The school is receiving enough food grains and cooking cost and other requirements as per the laid down rules given by the department.
For effective implementation of MDM scheme the school authority formulated the action plan by nominating two teachers to look after the effective implementation of the scheme, besides a cook is appointed for this purpose. School authority said that food grains are received regularly under MDM, a centrally sponsored scheme.
