Kohima, April 7 (MExN): The launching of Mission Indradhanush Phase-3 in 6 high focused districts viz: Dimapur, Kiphire, Kohima, Mon, Tuensang and Wokha was held at the Auditorium Hall, NHAK on April 7.
Dr. Yankho Kithan, Mission Director, NHM chaired the launching programme and welcomed all members present.The Mission Director in his speech gave a brief introduction and the aims of Mission Indradhanush.
Dr. Sukhato Sema, Principal Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare officially launched the Third phase of Mission Indradhanush and administered the first drop of the polio vaccine.
In his speech, he said that the aim of Mission Indradhanush Phase-3 is that no children under five years should be left unimmunized or partially immunized and no children should be left to die due to vaccine preventable diseases. He also mentioned that the third phase of Mission Indradhanush will also include all children attaining five years of age for the booster dose.
The programme successfully concluded with a vote of thanks pronounced by Dr. M. Kithan, Director (Health).
