PUNJAB, MARCH 22 (MExN): Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along delivered a speech at the 8th Chhatra Sansad India (CSI) Conclave, focusing on the theme Vision India 2047: Bharat @ 100. The Conclave was organized in collaboration between CSI and Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab. 

Addressing an audience of over 20,000 students, Along emphasized that true development goes beyond infrastructure and requires a shift in mindset that embraces diversity and unity. He highlighted the growing representation of students from North-East India at LPU, with more than 3,000 such students currently enrolled, as a positive sign of increasing inclusivity in India’s educational landscape.

Along stressed that while India may differ in culture, food, and appearance, the shared identity as Indians is what unites the nation. “A nation is not built by mere buildings and roads but by evolving thought processes and unity in diversity,” he remarked. His speech framed the nation’s development not just as a matter of physical progress, but as a collective effort to foster unity and inclusivity at every level.

The conclave featured a wide range of speakers who engaged with the youth, sharing insights on leadership, innovation, and national progress. The dignitaries include Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways; Vikrant Massey, Indian Actor; Shri Anurag Thakur, Member of Parliament and former Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Youth Affairs & Sports; Imran Pratapgarhi, Member of Parliament; Rahul Shivshankar, Editor-in-Chief of CNN News18; Suresh Prabhu, Former Union Minister; Khan Sir, Indian Educationist; Jaya Kishori, Motivational Speaker and Spiritual Leader; and Lt. General Ajay Chandpuria, AVSM, VSM, Commanding Officer, Vajra Corps. They connected with the youth through thought-provoking addresses and video messages, emphasizing the role of young Indians in shaping the nation’s future.

In their speeches, the dignitaries stressed the need for youth-driven innovation and participation in sectors ranging from technology to sports. They also highlighted the importance of ensuring that India’s growth is inclusive and benefits all citizens. The event underscored the idea that young leaders hold the key to unlocking the nation’s potential and achieving long-term progress.
