KOHIMA, AUGUST 1 (MExN): Minister for School Education, Imkong L Imchen today told The Morung Express that he will give a reply only in the court on the JEE issue where he has been alleged of nepotism in selection of MBBS seats.
The Minister, who is away from the state capital Kohima said since the mater is subjudice and the court has issued an injunction, it would not be wise for him to react in the media.
He also further said that as the issue is already subjudice, the contending parties should also restrain themselves from making statement in the press, as it would tantamount to exerting pressure on the court.
“Since the court has taken up the matter, I would not comment now. I would only reply in the court, and I know it”, Imkong said, while adding that he had to respect the honourable court, or else it would amount to flouting of judicial norms.
