A couple in Dimapur was arrested by the police and May 28 on charges of physically abusing a domestic helper. The case came to light after the CHILDLINE Dimapur reported the case to the police. The Dimapur police informed that the couple was taken into custody after a criminal case was registered against them at the Sub-urban Police Station. The victim, around 10 years of age, was said to have been staying with the couple as a domestic helper. The police declined to disclose further details stating that preliminary inquiry was on.
