DIMAPUR, MARCH 18 (MExN): The Kezieke Welfare Board, Kezieke Women Organisation and the Kezieke Youth Organisation have condemned the alleged molestation of an 8 year old girl child inside a bakery located a Kezieke colony on March 15. A joint statement from the three organizations alleged that the accused, an 18 year old, “has already confessed to committing the crime before the police,” and resolved that the accused “shall not be allowed to set foot in Kezieke ever again and he should not be allowed to stay in Nagaland once his trail or sentence is over.” The three organizations had a joint meeting on March 17, where they appealed for justice and cautioned people “not to exercise any undue influence to release the perpetrator of the crime.” The meeting further alleged that the proprietor of the bakery “is also responsible as the crime took place inside his shop and the perpetrator of the crime is one of his employees.” As such, they ordered the “immediate closure” of the bakery and “its proprietor shall not be allowed to reside or set up any business in the colony in the future.”
