Kohima, September 24 (MExN): Miss Phek Foundation, a charity project was launched on September 23 during the introduction of semi finalists of Miss Phek 2021 at Phek town.
Vogue Entertainment Nagaland informed that Miss Phek Foundation was launched by Razouvolie Dozo, Deputy Commissioner Phek.
The aims and objectives of Miss Phek Foundation is to help the underprivileged girls of Phek district, to provide basic needs and support their education.
Vogue Entertainment Nagaland managing director Dode Nakro stated that many people overlook beauty pageant industry as an otherwise event which is why the organization is trying its best to instill positivity in the minds of the people not only by words but through actions and one example is the Miss Phek Foundation.
He said beauty pageant is not glamorous alone but it is beyond and it is rising above beauty.
Through this project, we want to convey to the people that pageant industry is an overall development, job oriented and of course an ambassador of the society, Nakro said.
He also mentioned that whatever profit the organization gets from the event of Miss Phek shall be all contributed towards Miss Phek Foundation “believing that through this platform we can change someone's life which is why our theme for this year says, " Women towards wellness."
Earlier, Phek DC in his speech said “It is beyond beauty and the motives of the event must be based on love, compassionate, humanity and above all unity through pageant. “
He also encouraged the semi finalists to have patient in presenting themselves the best to the people as they begin their activities through different sessions.
He also encouraged them to be an ambassador of unity.
