Kohima, September 15 (MExN): Training on Mission Antyodaya Gram Samridhi evam Swachchata Pakhwada for State trainers was held on September 15 at RD Directorate Conference Hall with Vilopi Angami and Sentiyatet Jamir as the resource persons.
A baseline survey of village clusters identified by the state will be done during this campaign for which the training was held today for trainers from all the districts who will in turn train the blocks and village functionaries.
Opening Remarks was given by K. Neibou Sekhose, Joint Director and Nodal Officer (Campaign) who briefly explained the significance of Mission Antyodaya and the Campaign and the importance of collection of data and reporting and monitoring of the same.
Introduction to Mission Antyodaya and the Samridh Gram App. (App for conduct of the baseline survey) was given by Vilopi Angami, RDO and introduction on Kaushal Panjee and demo presentation of the Gram Samridh App was given by Sentiyatet Jamir, SPMU. The programme concluded with hands on training on Samridh Gram App.
Gram Samridhi and Swachchata Pakhwada (Village Well-Being and Cleanliness Fortnight) is a Campaign to be conducted from October 1 to 15, 2017, to actively involve the Panchayati Raj Institutions and its constituent Committees to engage the community in building environment for clean green villages, generate awareness about different Government programmes and to plan sustainable livelihood options in the state.
Publicity Cell, Rural Development, Kohima in a press release stated that this Campaign will be jointly conducted by the Department of Rural Development in partnership with State and local governments including Department of PHED (Sanitation), Social Welfare (NSAP), Education, PWD (PMGSY), Agriculture and Veterinary.
