Kohima, August 11 (MExN): The Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima celebrated fresher’s meet 2018 for the academic session 2018-20 at the college auditorium on August 10. The function was organized by MITE Students’ Union with the six clubs of MITE.
Hongfei Xing from China graced the function as the special guest. The Managing Director introduced Hongfei Xing, Director of English Practice Center, University of Science and Technology of China. In her speech, Hongfei Xing appreciated the hospitality of the Nagas, shared about the Education System in China and the various qualifications required to become a teacher in China. She also encouraged and wished the freshers the very best for their future profession.
The programme was chaired by Sangti Konyak and Yabangienla Kechu. Invocation was pronounced by Chisiiro and welcome address was delivered by Tiatemsu Aier. The freshers introduced themselves and also mentioned about their hidden talent. The Freshers were welcomed with presentation of gifts. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Abanu Richa and benediction by William Koza.
