Aizawl, January 29 (NNN): Lalthankunga Hmar, Superintendent of Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax has been awarded Presidential Award of Appreciation Certificate for Specially Distinguished Record of Service. Hmar received the award from Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in New Delhi on January 27 in commemoration of his good performance and distinguished service. He was the only custom officer from North Eastern states to receive such prestigious ward. In view of International Custom Day, Hmar had also in 2016 received World Customs Organisation Certificate of Merit on behalf of India.
