• 30% of polling stations to be covered by webcasting

Mokokchung, January 8 (DIPR): The monthly meeting of Mokokchung District Planning and Developmental Board was held on January 8 at the Conference Hall of ADC (planning) Mokokchung. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner informed the house that basing on the criticality, 30% of the polling stations in the district would be covered by webcasting to ensure fair and free vote casting during the election.
The chairman asked the EE PHED and EE Power department to make necessary arrangement in all polling stations and asked the power department to make necessary steps by putting up adequate electrification around the strong room which is located at the treasury office, Mokokchung.
He also reminded all the Head of Offices to actively co-operate and prepare for the forthcoming Assembly Election, saying that every department is on important mechanism during the Election. DC informed all the departments to appoint a nodal officer and activate at the earliest by submitting the name and contact number at the election department so as to effectively disseminate and collect information in connection with the election.
He also asked the Head Offices in the district to refrain from granting leave to the staff and also to brief them about the importance of attending training and other such activities in connection with the elections and maintained that he expect prompt responses from all the departments.
Sachin Jaiswal sent a strong message to all the Head of Offices to refrain from sending subordinate officers to attend different committee meeting without proper intimation. He said whoever is notified, the same person/ officer should come and attend the meeting. He further asked the concern departments to submit weekly report every Thursday saying that those reports have to be sent every Friday to the concern authority.
Work distribution of different departments for the coming Republic Day celebration was also read out by the Deputy Commissioner.
