Mkg: JMC holds talk on ‘Strengthening Clean Election’

The Department of Political Science, Jubilee Memorial College (JMC), Mokokchung organised a panel talk on ‘Strengthening Clean Election’ in the College premises on February 22.

The panel talk was moderated by Imkumer Aier, BA 6th Semester while the panelists included Temnarepba from BA 6th Semester, Nukshibenla from BA 4th Semester and Medemren from BA 4th Semester.

The three panelists shared their view points on the three topics respectively which included- ‘What is the Impact of Unclean Election on Us?, Role of youth in clean election and Suggestions to strengthen Clean Election.’

The talk was followed by an interactive question and answer session among the panelists and the audience.

When asked on why the panel discussion was held, Imnasangla, HOD, Department of Political Science, JMC said, “Truth be told, most of our youths are not even aware of clean election and they do not even know what it means. So, with the purpose to make the youths aware of clean election, the panel discussion was organized”.
