Dimapur, February 6 (MExN): Incumbent Member of the Legislative Assembly for 38 Wokha Assembly Constituency and Advisor for Law and Justice Dr Chumben Murry has announced that he will not be contesting the Nagaland Assembly Election scheduled on February 27.
In a press release received here on Monday, the MLA stated that he is opting out of the fray for the upcoming election but would “continue to work for the betterment of my community particular and Nagas in general.”
“I am greatly indebted to my constituency people who have voted me to the august Nagaland two times and also equally to those well-wishers beyond my constituency,” he added.
“I will continue to be with NDPP party and the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. I will continue to expound the principle of ‘Facta Non Verba’ of the Party to which I belong,” the release stated.
