With an aim to bridge the gap between the youth and the parents, the Mangmetongchar Lanur Tentet Mokokchung (MLTM) was formed with a dedicatory prayer by Rev Luin Jamir at Telongjem Ki, Mongsenbai ward, Mokokchung.
MLTM President Aolong Imchen and General Secretary Changsen Pongen while interacting with the media person briefed that MLTM is formed with the approval of Mangmetong Senso Telongjem Mokokchung Unit to act as filler between the Students’ union and the parent union i.e Mangmetong Senso Telongjem Mokokchung. Through this platform, the Mangmetong youths will know and create boon among the fellow youths, the MLTM added.
They further said through this platform MLTM will create opportunities for the talented youths to promote them holistically such as in the field of business, sports, arts, music etc. During the MLTM launching programme, a leader from Mangmetong Senso Telongjem Mokokchung stated that to form a group is easy but to reach its goal it’s very difficult and challenged the MLTM not to derail from their goal.
A leader from Mangmetongtsur Telongjem Mokokchung also urged the MLTM to broaden their vision and initiate their work which would benefit the Naga society in general.
The Mangmetong Students’ Union Mokokchung Unit also congratulated for the formation of MLTM and assured all support in their endeavors. The new team of MLTM will be led by President Aolong Imchen, Vice president Jaknungti, General Secretary Changsen Pongen and Assistant Secretary Chubameren.
