Aizawl, October 31, (NNN): Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Wednesday accused the Mizo National Front (MNF) of having a "secret tie and being working hand in glove" with the BJP for the Mizoram assembly polls slated for November 28. Congress youth president and party candidate for Aizawl West-II constituency, Dr Lalmalsawma Nghaka told reporters on Wednesday that it is evident that both the MNF and BJP are tying up for the assembly polls as the former is a constituent of the BJP led Northeast Democratic Alliance (NEDA). There have been speculations that both the MNF and BJP would forge either pre or post poll alliance, but both the parties had not only denied the speculations but also said they would go alone by fielding their respective candidates in all the 40 assembly seats. Rubbishing both the MNF's and BJP's denial, Nghaka said, "It is evident that both the parties are hand in glove for the upcoming assembly polls as Tripura BJP general secretary Pratima Bhowmik who is already camping in Mizoram had said that MNF may have coalition-based relation with the BJP at the time of government formation". The fact that state BJP president, Prof JV Hluna suddenly shifting his constituency from his Aizawl East-I to Tawi was another instance of MNF-BJP secret tie, Nhgka alleged.
