‘Mobilize people for ‘healing and reconciliation movement’’

DIMAPUR, SEPT 26 (MExN): To add momentum to the ‘Healing and Reconciliation Movement’ proposed by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council, the Naga Council Dimapur today asked all respective communities to participate in the launching ceremony of the movement. Programme sheets for the same are being dispatched with a request to “reproduce copies and distribute among leaders of your tribe/community to mobilize public and attend as desired by NBCC.” The program is slated for September 29 at Covenant Hall, Christian Higher Secondary School at Dimapur from 9 am. 

“We believe the NBCC initiative for healing and reconciliation comes at the right time as the Nagas are yearning for peace, healing and reconciliation,” Naga Council President Savi Liegise said. All presidents and leaders of various tribes/communities have been asked to mobilize their respective communities and render full support to NBCC both in the launching ceremony and subsequent programmes of the movement. NBCC’s proposal booklet will be available at the entrance of the hall at Rs 20 per copy.  

An NBCC letter to the Naga Council reads, “Our objective is to call the Nagas to repentance and seek the face of God that He would touch and heal our land and bless our people, thereby consequent mutual love, friendship, trust and ultimate peace may be dawned in our land.”
