Mokokchung, July 29 (MExN): The longest running annual event in Mokokchung Town, XXVII Music Fest 2018 of the Mokokchung Town Baptist Church Youth Department, is back and will be celebrated on August 2 and 3 on the theme ‘Kotaker Yimyim’.
Artists from the town as well as other districts will perform at the two day mega event, which is a platform for young artists of the church to exhibit their God given talents and at the same time an opportunity to witness and be encouraged by the performance of established musicians.
The Youth Evangelist Monglier Tzudir, who is also the Convenor of the event, in an interview said that apart from giving a platform to the artists Music Fest should also inspire the youth to sing, write and listen to gospel music in the midst of many other genre of music.
The line-up for this year’s edition of Music Fest has an eclectic mix of performers from within Nagaland and also from the members of the Youth Department who will entertain the citizens of the town for two days with their powerful acts.
Unlike previous years, the Organising Committee is using the medium of social media to publicize the event in a large scale to reach out to the people, Tzudir said, adding that besides the soul nourishment in the form of good music the audience will also stand a chance to win the XXVII Musis Fest 2018 goodies.
He welcomed the citizens of Mokokchung and also the people who will visit the town for the Mini Hornbill Festival to join the celebration of talents.
