Mokokchung, August 22 (MExN): Concerned Citizens’ Forum (CCF) and Concerned Senior Citizens Forum (CSCF) of Mokokchung have reiterated the Framework Agreement must be “inclusive of all the stakeholders to pave ways for a long lasting peace in future.” It should be based on futuristic aspects of the Nagas as per Framework Agreement signed between the GoI and Collective Leaderships on August 3, 2015 in New Delhi, resolved the two Forums in a joint meeting on August 17.
We have minutely evaluated the previous commitments of the Ao community giving mandate to the NSCN/GPRN (IM) collective Leadership during the last several political consultative meets... to bring early settlement honourably and acceptable both to the parties and therefore, the Aos should continue to stand by it, a joint statement from the Forums informed.
A time has come for all Naga civil societies to remain united, where they could play constructive roles led by the Naga Hoho in the peace process, it said. In this connection, it called for realisation for Ao community to participate in Naga Hoho to “strengthen overcoming their shortcomings.”
“The Aos cannot remain silent without participating in the apex body of Naga civil society that was started in Mokokchung Town.”
It further discouraged the mushrooming of “state-centric groups and their slogans based on narrow approach that promotes divide and rule policy in Naga society.”
