Mokokchung, August 27 (MExN): The monthly meeting of the Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall on August 27, with Deputy Commissioner and DPDB Vice Chairman Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, in the chair.
The meeting began with a review of the minutes of the previous meeting, followed by discussion on the Action Taken Report.
The board approved registration of two local societies — the Chuchuyimpang Students Union Society and the Woods Foundation, based in Kumlong Ward.
It also approved changing the nomenclature of Hills Night High School to Hills High School and cleared the shifting of the school from Arkong Ward to Nokra Compound in Chuchuyimpang.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Atsungba Walling briefed the house on the upcoming Inter-Departmental Sports Meet, scheduled from September 29 to October 1. A 24-member committee has been constituted to supervise and manage the event.
The District Project Officer (DPO), Land Resources Development (LRD), made a PowerPoint presentation on departmental activities and achievements. It was decided that the Horticulture Department would present its activities at the next monthly meeting.
