Mon, November 22 (MExN): Mon District Administration, District Child Protection Unit, Mon ADP, World Vision India and Child Welfare Committee Mon jointly organized and observed 30th anniversary of Child Rights (UNCRC) cum Sensitization Programme on Child Rights & Child Protection on November 20 at Council Hall, Mon town. Coordinator Development Facilitation, Mon ADP, World Vision India in a press release stated the programme had two Sessions. The 1st session was chaired by Bangshing, Member CWC, Mon. God’s presence was invoked by YP David, Hospital Chaplain Mon. Keynote address was delivered by Tuishimla, Chairperson CWC Mon on Child Rights.
Thavaseelan K, IAS DC Mon emphasized on multiple mechanism that are available in the district to ensure Child Rights and Child Protection. Resource person Seyielenuo Mezhü (NJS), Principal Magistrate Juvenile Justice Board Mon emphasized on JJ Act and its implementation relating to a child in need of care and protection & child in conflict with Law. Dr L Khobung, Program Manager Mon ADP World Vision India also spoke at the event.
