Mon, March 26 (MExN): District Health Society, Mon held its review meeting of all the DPOs, SMO, MOs, CHOs and Nurses of all the health units at DH, Conference Hall, Mon on March 26.
The CMO office Media Officer, Mon in a press release stated that Dr Shasinle Tep reminded all the nurses and CHOs to give importance to any kind of National Programmes and that to do away with absenteeism during their duty hours. She then presented PPT on COVID-19 vaccine for 12-14 years and national immunization schedule.
Dr Tinenlo James Katiwa, DTO, Mon requested all the CHOs/Nurses and MOs to refer any suspected cases that come across their health units to District TB Centre or can collect the sputum and send it to the DTC. He requested the healthcare staffs to educate the general public on the reliability, efficacy and the quality of the medicines available in the DTC, “because many hesitate to take the medicine thinking it is free of cost and that it will be of inferior and poor quality.”
He presented PPT on TB Preventive Treatment and TB Mukt Bharat Campaign.
Longyim Tzudir DPO DAPCU Mon shared the efforts & progress under National AIDS Control Programme Phase IV and the key challenges faced i.e. the lack of information on HIV, lack of healthcare seeking behaviour, Non involvement of PLHIV, conveyance, frequent lockdown due to COVID-19 and engagement in COVID duty.
Adolescent Friendly Health Clinic and National Mental Health Programme services were briefed by MsKenyuhyule Thong, Counsellor and the definition of Kayakalp and NQAS and its differences and importance were shared by Watikumla Amlari, DPM-QA.
