Mon DTF launches app for free video consultations with doctors

Mon, June 14 (MExN): The Mon District Task Force for COVID-19 has launched an application called DocOn that provides free video consultation facilities for patients. Through the app, patients can remotely book appointments and consult with doctors from anywhere.

As per a circular issued by Mon Deputy Commissioner Thavaseelan K, patients will also have lifetime access to digital prescription (e-prescription), maintain medical history and share reports with the doctor, get reminders about upcoming appointment and avail post consultation chats with doctors.

The app is available for download on Google Play Store for Android phone users and Apple App Store for iOS users, the circular added. After the app is downloaded, users can search for doctors by typing in the doctor’s name and select the time slot for video consultation appointment.

The DC also informed that at present, 9 doctors from Mon District Hospital would be available for online consultations through the DocOn App. The service is free of cost for the patient and more doctors will be available for consultation through the app shortly, it added.
