Monsoon camp cum vaccination drive held in new Chamcha village

Peren, August 25 (MExN): A monsoon medical camp cum vaccination drive was organized by ARC, Ahthibung in collaboration with Jalukie battalion, Assam Rifles and PHC Ahthibung on August 25 in New Chamcha village of Peren district. The camp provided the public with the much needed healthcare and medication.  

The village situated in the remote area with lack of access to basic health care facilities, the camp was aimed to provide basic healthcare to villagers and vaccinations to the children.

During monsoon, situation become worse for the villagers as there was no road connectivity or any medical infrastructure, it added.

The camp provided the general public a brief relief to get over the monsoon borne diseases.

The medical team comprised of  Dr Vezo Kholu, a  lab technician, a pharmacist, an optometrist and  a nursing assistant from Assam Rifles. 

The people expressed gratitude towards the ARC Ahthibung, Jalukie Battalion Assam Rifles and PHC Ahthibung for the medical camp.
