Monthly DPDB meetings held in various districts

Dimapur, October 7 (DIPR): The monthly meeting of District Planning & Development Boards (DPDBs) was held in various districts on October 6 and 7.  

Mokokchung: The Mokokchung DPDB gave approval for creation of a new EAC Headquarter at Longnak under ADC Mangkolemba during the meeting held on October 7 at ADC (Planning) conference hall. The meeting decided to forward its approval to the government. The Mokokchung DPDB earlier forwarded its approval for creation of new EAC Headquarters at Luyong and Pangsang in the district. The board also gave its approval for registration of AIM Ministry.  

Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairperson of Mokokchung DPDB, Sushil Kumar Patel, meanwhile sought detailed report from Agri & allied departments about the damage caused to crops in the district during the current monsoon. The Head of Offices concerned were directed to submit the report by October 17 or 18.  

Peren: In the Peren DPDB meeting held at DC conference hall on October 6, the Vision 2030 for Peren district was deliberated. Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairperson Peren DPDB, Zarenthung Ezung elaborated on the exigencies to come up with the vision document from each department, adding that October 15 will be the last date for submission. In order to scrutinize and review the making of the vision document of the district, another meeting was fixed for October 12 at DC conference hall at 11:00 am. A committee was set up for the very purpose with Deputy Commissioner, Peren as the chairperson, SDO (C) Sarita Yadav, IAS as the co-ordinator, and DPO Daniel Hemang as the member secretary.   The board discussed the following agendas where all the heads of offices were requested to furnish detailed report to fulfill the criteria and submit to the next DPDB meeting for onward submission to the Government for approval – Creation of Sub-Treasury Office Tening, full-fledged Range Office Nsong, up-gradation of Sub-Centre to PHC Nsong, and up-gradation of GMS to GHS Beisumpuikam. The board also recommended and forwarded for creation of Police Outpost at Nsong.  

Tuensang: The Tuensang DPDB in its meeting on October 6 at DC conference hall recommended change of school nomenclature from Government High School Angangba to Martoshi Memorial Government High School Angangba, construction of indoor stadium and badminton hall at Shamator HQ, and renewal of society registration of Khiamniungan Menyu Hoikam and Trurong Agri Allied Welfare Society.  

Parliamentary Secretary for New and Renewable Energy, Fire and Emergency Services, Toyang Changkong Chang, who was the chairperson, appreciated the Board members for their active participation in the meeting and urged the members to be sincere and honest in performing their duties which will benefit the people of the district.  

Kejong Chang, Minister for Horticulture, DB&GB in his short speech urged the Head of the Offices to give their best in their work to uplift the people in the district. Officers should use this Planning Board platform to seek out the difficulties and bring out solution for betterment of the people in general, he added.
