KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 7 (MExN): Minister for Roads and Bridges, G. Kaito Aye on February 5 last promised to construct a 5 Kilometer road from Tichipami connecting Longsa village under Mokokchung district.
Addressing the inauguration of the Tichipami Village Community Hall under Surhuhoto he said that the state government is ever ready to render help to any community or village if there is sincere unity, which, he added should pave way for substantial development. He therefore called upon the gathering to remain united and further lauded the village as a whole for accomplishing their long cherished dream while referring to the newly inaugurated village community hall and stressed that they should still keep the pace of working in unity for further development in the village.
He was of the opinion that there was outstanding development in Surhuhoto under the leadership of MLA Shetoyi, who, within a short span of time has remarkably done for his people and said “I am witness to all his works doing in his constituency” citing the Asukho- Surhuhoto road, Surhuhoto-Yangli road (under construction), and EAC Surhuhoto upgraded to SDO (Civil). The Minister further said that “if a mere MLA can do this much for his people in a short time of assuming office, what more leader are we looking for.” “Let us all stand for him and support him”, he added.
Earlier, MLA and Chairman NHHDC, Shetoyi also exhorted the gathering and impressed upon the village leaders and government officers of Surhuhoto to remain in unity so that they can collectively approach the government for further development in the area which, he said, is must and the need of the hour.
