Moreh man conferred Award

Imphal, February 14 (NNN): The prestigious Dr Ambedkar National Award 2011 has been conferred on V Shekar—resident of Indo-Myanmar border town Moreh—for his yeomen service in the field of social work particularly in the upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden.
  The award was presented to V Shekar at New Delhi on February 11, 2011. He is the presidents of Tamil Sangam, Moreh; Sun Rise Youth Club, Moreh; Lions Club of Moreh; Chamber of Commerce, Moreh and the general secretary of Sree Angala Parameshwari Muneeshwarar Temple, Moreh.
  The program co-coordinator of the Centre for Social Development (CSD), M Thomas, has conveyed profound happiness and hearty congratulations to V Shekar on his lofty achievement and said “may all the endeavor of the godfather of the South Indians residing in Moreh be successful. May God grant him long life and bless him abundantly so as to achieve even higher awards in the future.”
