Dimapur, July 18 (MExN): KG Kenye, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) prior to the Monsoon Session of Parliament called on Kenko Sone, Minister for Economic & Development, Japan, Kenji Aya, Secretary, Japanese Embassy, New Delhi and Manish Uprety, FRAAS former Indian Diplomat on July 17 in New Delhi.
A press statement issued by Vikehel Kenye, PS to MP (RS) stated that Kenye had wide ranging discussion with the Japanese delegates on Agri & Allied Sector and investment for the state of Nagaland with special emphasis to strengthen the economic condition of the people in the border area through Agri & Allied sector.
Besides other general development for the State, the possibility of World War II Japanese Memorial for the fallen Japanese soldiers on the ‘forgotten route’ which is the Imphal – Ukhrul – Jessami – Pfutsero trail in Nagaland was also discussed, it added.
