Royal Enfield Mokokchung team conferred their fifth honorary award to the Mokokchung Press Club at Top Floor Café, Mokokchung on October 2. The award was presented by the chief of REM and received by Limalenden Longkumer, President, Mokokchung Press Club, at a brief award ceremony.
REM Chief, Moatemjen while giving a brief introduction about the team and the honorary award said that the REM Honorary award is given to groups, organisations and individuals in recognition of their selfless services rendered towards the welfare of society and their contributions to society.
In the recipient’s speech, Limalenden, President, MPC said the REM members ride while the MPC members write to unite. He acknowledged the recognition given to MPC and stated that the press receives more criticism than appreciation. “Such an honorary award is rare and the first of its kind,” he stated.
Royal Enfield Mokokchung is a team of riders who go for adventure rides and exploration in groups or solo and also contribute and participate in programmes held by district administrations or organizations that are related to creating awareness or any social cause.
It is worth mentioning that Royal Enfield Mokokchung, on its foundation day, i.e. 21 July, plants trees every year to save the environment.
The award ceremony was attended by members of the MPC and REM.
