General Secretary of the NSCN (IM), Th Muivah is scheduled to reach Nagaland on Tuesday, November 26, soon to be followed by the NNGPs Working Committee (WC) Convener, N Kitovi Zhimomi.
Sources from the NSCN (IM) informed that Muivah along with a few members of the Collective Leadership will reach Dimapur on Tuesday. It was added that the NSCN (IM) leaders would spend the festive season in Nagaland. It was further informed that the NSCN (IM) leadership would hold meetings with civil society groups.
Meanwhile, sources from the NNPGs Working Committee (WC) informed that the WC Convener, N Kitovi Zhimomi will also return to Nagaland for the festive season. Zhimomi and Coordinator Alezo Venuh are scheduled to sit down with the Government of India’s Interlocutor and Nagaland Governor RN Ravi in a day or two for an informal session, the sources said after which they will head to Nagaland.
The source added that some of the NNPG leadership have already arrived in the state. It was further informed that the NNPGs WC is “seriously considering” meeting with the United Naga Council (UNC), while also holding consultations with the Naga civil society in general.
Sources from the two groups meanwhile informed that both the NSCN (IM) and the NNPGs WC would hold talks with the Government of India during their stay in Nagaland.
