A newly constructed Multi-purpose building- cum- office of the Naga Hospital Colony Panchayat (NHCP), Kohima was formally inaugurated today by NHCP chairman Vizetuo Solo. The building was constructed at a cost of Rs. 46.50 lakh.
Addressing the gathering, Solo said that the construction of the building has been possible through unity and community participation.
It has been constructed through free will contribution of the colony residents and well wishers, he said and thanked each and every individual for their support and contribution.
Naga Hospital Colony was formed in 1973. Presently, the colony consist 300 households with a population of about 2000 people.
“This building is a symbol of progress, growth and unwavering commitment of our residents,” said NHCP vice chairman Teisobou Sekhose.
Let us celebrate and grow together, nurturing a strong sense of belonging and pride in our community, he added.
He also called upon the denizens of the colony to forge new connections and foster a sense of harmony “that binds us all as one family.”
Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayat (AKMWP) president, Thejao Sekhose also spoke on the occasion and lauded the essence of unity in the colony.
Seyiekhriezo Suohu, convenor of the building committee presented the building construction report while acknowledgment of the guests was led by Kikruneiii Semou, president Naga Hospital Colony Women Organization.
The inaugural function was chaired by Kekhriengulie Khezhie, secretary, NHCP. Kehoulelie Zatsu, Pastor, Naga Hospital Colony, Christian Revival Church invoked God’s blessings. The programme also witnessed a special number from Besüto Nienu.
Ex- MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro also present at the function. NHCP social & cultural secretary Salie Koza proposed vote of thanks.
