Minister of Tribal Affair visits Mokokchung District BJP office
Mokokchung, September 7 (MExN): The Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda has assured to “render all help to the people of Nagaland so that the state would grow at par with the visions of the BJP party.”
He made the assurance on behalf of the Government of India (GOI) during his visit to Mokokchung District Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) office on September 6, informed a press release from M Along Lcr General Secretary ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung.
Munda, speaking at the brief programme organized by the district unit president RN Nungsang and party workers, also informed the party workers on the programmes of the BJP especially with regard to “tribals in India,” it said.
The Union Minister was accompanied by Nagaland BJP President, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer, Minister for H&TE and Tribal Affairs, Nagaland and other BJP party leaders.
Stating that BJP is the largest political party in the world with more than 17 crore registered members, he also expressed his happiness to be interacting with the BJP workers in Nagaland saying: “we are a family,” the release maintained.
Identifying himself as a tribal, the minister said that there are 10.5 crore tribal people in India and he assured on behalf of GoI, “to render all help” and especially the district of Mokokchung, it said.
Nagaland BJP president, Imna Along also complimented the Mokokchung BJP for their dedicated works with regard to the membership drive assured all help to the BJP unit to make it more robust in the days to come, it added.
Meanwhile, the BJP Mokokchung district, President and the party workers welcomed the visiting Union Minister at the party office and as per age old Naga traditions and hospitality, presented a traditional waistcoat to the visiting dignitary, the release said.
The party workers presented a concept note on some projects about the development of Mokokchung, “which was graciously accepted by the union minister for due consideration,” it maintained.
