Kohima, February 28 (MExN): ICAR Research Complex NEH Region, Nagaland centre, Jharnapani conducted a hands on training on “Mushroom Cultivation: An alternate option for entrepreneurship development” under TSP on February 27 at Thekrejuma village in Kohima district. Dr. G. Rajesha, Scientist (Plant Pathology) briefed about mushroom with respect to its nutritional importance, daily demand for mushroom and the economics of cultivation in Nagaland, a press release informed. Budhin Kachari practically demonstrated the different steps in mushroom cultivation and its marketing to the farmers. Altogether, 16 women farmers from the village attended the training. Inputs like mushroom spawn and polythene bags were distributed for the farmers to continue the practice of mushroom cultivation in the village.
