Imtinunchet Aier
Dimapur: Imtinunchet Aier, a class 8 student of The Maple Tree school, Dimapur was the only national winner from the North East in the essay and painting competition held at NEZCC Dimapur on February 13 on the theme “My Living Icon” organised by INTACH ( Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) on a national level.
Director of Maple Tree School said in a press release that Imtinunchet painted Alobo Naga on the theme ‘My Living Icon’ where participants had to select a living person from his region. He was one of the 11 national winners selected from around 6000 entries, which is quite an achievement. The national winners were felicitated in Jaipur, Rajasthan from May 4 to 6.
His Art teacher Aten Nokdir of The Maple Tree School accompanied Imti on his free trip. During the stay, the awardees visited Amber Fort, The City Palace Museum, Rangotri block printing factory, Jaigarh water walk, Anokhi block printing museum, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and other cultural and natural landmarks of Jaipur. Eminent socialist D.R. Mehta (Founder and Chief Patron of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) presented the award. He is also an Awardee of one of the highest Indian civilian awards for his contribution to social cause.
