‘My Naginimora My Home’ mission for sustainable development launched

Mon, May 3 (MExN): A mission named ‘My Naginimora My Home’ for the holistic and sustainable development of Naginimora town was launched on May 1 with Mon Deputy Commissioner K Thavaseelan as the special guest.

Giving an overview of the programme, Naginimora’s Additional Deputy Commissioner Vineet Kumar said that the main aim of the mission is to create a sense of belongingness among people in the development process, according to a DIPR report. The mission will work simultaneously on three aspects namely—town beautification and cleanliness, improvement of infrastructure and service delivery and creating sustainable economy by involving people. Three committees involving members from administration, various departments and civil society organisations would steer the mission, it added.

The special guest felicitated sanitation workers for their hard work and presented them with personal protective equipment. He also encouraged all the departments and NGOs to keep on striving hard and asked people to own the mission for the betterment of the citizens and development of the town. To mark the occasion, the special guest planted a sapling at the town council hall campus 

The chairperson of the programme was SDO (Power) Naginimora Nyoingam Konyak.  President KU, Naginimora Khampei Konyak gave a short speech highlighting the potential of the town and need of the mission. Heads of Departments, town leaders, pastors and principals of various schools attended the programme, the DIPR report stated.
