Kohima, December 15 (MExN): The Nagaland Athletics Association (NAA) on Wednesday announced the list of the selected athletes who have qualified for the Nagaland Cross Country team. The selected athletes will be representing Nagaland state in the upcoming 56th National Cross Country Championship which will be held in Kohima on January 15, 2022 along with the South Asian Cross Country Championship, 2022. The association has requested all athletes to promptly report for the coaching camp on December 17 at Hotel Eden (Below Raj Bhavan), Kohima to begin their training. The women’s team will be trained by B Awala Walling, NIS Coach and the men’s team will be trained by Asakho Joseph, NIS Coach. The selected athletes include: (Men 10kms) - Nahtein Wangnao, Cuvoto Medeo, Wede T Mero, Tsolie Yhokha. Thungtimoba Chang, Nozo Dawhuo; (Women 10kms) - Tsuchoi T, Songmo P, Peiheiteile Esalung, Vizhasieno Vikhrie, Achen Apon, Emsubenla Jamir; (U-20 boys 8kms) - Taliyanger Aukum, Kughato Swu, Lhouvisalie Mere, Dzüveo Curha, Medophreo Tachü; (U-20 girls 6kms) - Niansai T, Vekholhulü, Calista Tungoe, H. Wanaya Konyak, Kerüvikhono Chase, Wemeseü Krome; (U-18 boys 6 kms) – Muchu, Shosu Pohena, Ngoniyi Yhobu; (U-18 girls 4kms)- Vesatsülü Khesoh, Chimmushe Chimmushe, Nirmala Rai; (U-16 boys 2kms)- T. Kiutsu, Yongwan Kahdak, Thejanguzo Pfükha; (U-16 girls 2kms) - Neikethonuo Janet, Imtisangla Kangsho, and Khrotshoü Tsunah.
